Ingredients:
• 1½ cup Masoor Dal • ½ tsp Turmeric Powder • 4 Green Chilies • 2 pods Garlic, minced • 1 tbsp Coriander Leaves • 5 Curry Leaves • Salt, to taste • 2 tsp Lemon Juice • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds • 1 tsp Mustard Seeds • 2 tsp Ghee • ¼ tsp Asofetida (hing)
How to make Dal Tadka:

Wash and drain the dal and then put it in the pressure cooker, along with turmeric powder, 1/2 tsp salt and water. Make sure that the dal is not over cooked.
Now, take a non stick pan and heat ghee in it. Add cumin seeds, curry leaves and mustard seeds to it.
When the seeds start to splutter, put asofetida, green chilies and garlic and fry for a minute.
Now, add cooked dal and salt in the prepared tadka and fry for 4 to 5 minutes.
Sprinkle lemon juice on top.
Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with chapattis and rice.
