Ingredients:
• 8 oz rough Medjool Dates • 1/4 tsp Red Chili Powder • Salt to taste • 1/4 tsp Cumin Powder • 3 cup water • 1/2 tsp Tamarind Paste 
How to make Dates Chutney:
Place dates in a medium saucepan and cover it with water.
Cook it until the dates turn soft and tender.
Set cooked dates aside to cool.
Smash or puree the cooked dates in small batches in a blender, adding a little water as needed to make a smooth paste.
Melt tamarind and spices to pureed dates. Stir well.
Add more water as needed to make a thick sauce.
Dates chutney is ready to serve.
Suggestions:
serve it fresh with roti/chapati
