Ingredients:
• 1 Green Chilly (crushed) • 1 Bread Slice • 2 tsp Rice Powder • 1 Egg • Few Curry Leaves (crushed) • Oil (to fry) • 1 cup Prawns (cleaned) • 1 Onion (medium, crushed) • 1 tsp Ginger Paste • 1 tsp Garlic Paste • Few Coriander Leaves (finely chopped) • ½ tsp Pepper Powder • Salt (to taste)
How to make Chemmeen Vada :
Sprinkle salt on prawns and steam it for 10 minutes.
Let it cool and crush in a grinder.
Make bread crumbs using the bread slice.
Beat egg into a large bowl.
Put the crushed ingredients, along with coriander leaves, salt, garlic-ginger paste, rice powder, and bread crumbs into the beaten egg. Mix well.
Apply little oil on palms and shape the mixture into small balls.
Deep fry these balls in oil until brown and transfer on a tissue paper.
Sprinkle pepper powder over the vada.
Suggestions:
Serve with tomato sauce.
